CHRISTMAS PRAYER REQUESTS from the Kramers (Taiwan)

(Remember to pray a day ahead!!!)
1.  Saturday afternoon 4 pm–Christmas with English Kid’s Club, pray that e

ach shoebox prepared by Taichung churches will be delivered to the child of God’s choice.  Some of the kids even stopped by our home to help decorate our tree.  We also look forward to a simple Christmas party with our adult English class next Tuesday.  Pray for May, a buffet food shop owner, and her family members who attend.

2.  Saturday evening 7 pm–Santa will visit the night market in the main temple courtyard in Sihhu.  We have discovered that Santa is a great tool for helping people open up to receiving the real reason for our celebration of Christmas.  Pray for people to enjoy this cross-cultural aspect, to receive the Gospel literature, and to develop relationships with Jesus-followers so that they will come to know the Savior Emmanuel.  On Christmas Eve, Santa will also visit a night market in Baojhung with carollers, and then on Christmas Day the morning market in Sihhu.

Other news:
1.  A 26 year old young woman from a nearby township was introduceD to Rachel for discipling.  We are just getting to know her and would appreciate you joining us in seeing her be baptized and to grow.  Her name is Jyun Yi.
2.  Cidu Gospel Center in northern Taiwan is sponsoring a Christmas program for their neighborhood.  They praise God for a good group of ladies who attended their Christmas lunch and their interest in the stories told, The Prodigal Son and The Lost Sheep.  Pray for decisions for Christ amongst these working class people.
3.  Rachel’s father has been experiencing difficulty with pneumonia and weight loss.  Pray for his health and the family at home as they care for him during this holiday season.
4.  Don, Rachel and Mark and Luke are planning a short trip to Bangkok, Thailand between Christmas and the New Year, a family vacation before the guys graduate in 2010.  We might even visit the elephant/crocodile farm where Richard Herring, who is still recovering, was thrown by an elephant in November.  Pray for the Thai missionaries as they give witness of Christ to many people since that incident.
5.  Mark Edwards has prepared a Christmas Scripture to be broadcast in Taiwanese on an announcement truck that will drive through all of our township on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  See the angel poster for the truck side attached.
