What is your global impact?
In a recent message at a church service a pastor had this to say: “If you call the God of the Bible your God, even when what He does or tells you does not seem to make sense, you have no choice but to believe and do what He is telling you.”
In light of the recent events of Haiti, this message seems to ring true more than ever before. Much of what we see in Haiti along with suffering around the world does not seem to make sense. Yet as followers of Christ we have no choice but to believe that the God of the Bible has a plan for these precious people. Even in the devastation that has been seen, it is a time to stop and acknowledge that God in his Sovereignty will bring his plans to pass.
It is also a time to stop and realize that we have a global responsibility to people who have so much less than ourselves. It seems unfortunate that at times it takes a devastating earthquake to wake us up to the reality of suffering. Suffering that for many people goes on day after day and year after year. This is an incredible time now more than ever to remind people around us of daily opportunities we have to give to those in need both big and small. This realization might start with directing people around you to the incredible ministry that the Christian and Missionary Alliance is doing globally, along with the chance to partner with them for relief in Haiti.
Or, if you have not had a chance to look at the missions opportunities that we have on our resources page, this might be a good time to take a look and see if there is anything that might fit your ministry.
