In the gospels Jesus never seemed too interested in fans. Is that how you define your relationship with Him? An enthusiastic admirer? Close enough to Jesus to get the benefits but not so close to require sacrifice? Maybe you are ready to join the hundreds of people who have stepped across a line and said, “I am not a fan.”
BASIC is a seven part series of short films (from the award winning creators of the NOOMA film series) that challenge us to reclaim the church as Scripture describes it to be. This series will speak to those who have questions about the church and to those who may have lost interest in the church.
In researching today for my sermon I came across this website (http://mintools.com) that was too rich to simply keep to myself. It covers virtually every area you can think of with links to resources, websites, as well as articles on the subjects at hand. –Randy Vinson
In
a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world: Only 9 % of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. Focus on the Family’s response to this is The Truth Project. The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 12 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. They believe this one project represents the possibility for exponential change within the body of Christ, and that thousands will be transformed by this curriculum.

On November 13, 2003, Back to the Bible launched a new division of its ministry called The Bible Literacy Center (BLC). Here, researchers are conducting surveys and gathering data about Bible reading habits and hindrances. The question they are addressing is simple: “Why do so many people own Bibles and so few read them?” At the Center for Bible Engagement, they not only want to know why, they want to know how we … how you … how all of us can work together to move people toward a vibrant relationship with God.

150,000 people die every 24 hours—most without the Savior. The Way of the Master is deeply concerned that so few Christians reach out to the lost. Statistics show that this is as low as 5%. One of the reasons for this is that many don’t feel equipped. As a ministry, our sole purpose is to inspire and equip Christians—to teach them how to share the gospel simply, effectively, biblically . . . the way Jesus did. “The Way of the Master” is non-denominational. The Way of the Master believes and preaches that the Bible is the Word of God, and that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, crucified for the sin of the world, and that He rose again on the third day. The Way of the Master believes and teaches that salvation is by grace, through faith, and not of works. Thewayofthemaster.com
