Great Lake District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance

Church Planting is a high priority in the Great Lakes District of the Christian Missionary Alliance. This effort, led by our Superintendent, Rev. Jeff Brown, seeks to be pro-active in the expansion of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Currently the Great Lakes District has six church plants in Northwest Ohio and the lower peninsula of Michigan. It is the goal of the Great Lakes District to plant 21 new churches before the end of this decade.

The church planting philosophy of the Great Lakes District revolves around the following five values:

1.  Church planting is part of completing the Great Commission of Jesus.
2.  Christ builds His church and our role is to discover and cooperate with His design for each local church.
3.  We believe investing in the church planting team to be a high priority of our church planting effort.
4.  Our task is to create healthy environments where growth and transformation can take place.
5.  The Glory of God is our ultimate objective.
