Germany::Freischwimmer
In working with Freischwimmer, we have started meeting in an older church building (built in 1900), used nowadays in its wonderful location only for art exhibitions, concerts and sparsely occupied for religious reasons.
There has been no regular worship service in this beautiful building for over 40 years, and Freischwimmer is now renting the building on Sundays to hold our weekly church services and monthly Lego-brunches!
We have had many visitors — both those we have personally invited and those out of curiosity from the neighborhood — but are praying for a solid foundation and commitment for those who regularly attend and call Freischwimmer their church “home”. Please pray with us that many hear His voice, would step up in boldness and serve Him and others!
With that in mind, the upcoming months will be busy: we are currently awaiting the arrival of our third child; we are transitioning out of leadership within Freischwimmer in preparation for returning to Toledo, Ohio for a one year home assignment; English Camp (for teens in NE Germany) preparations and Feinkost (women’s ministry) planning — not to mention the transition itself from Germany to USA for ourselves personally, as a family with small children.
We appreciate our Great Lakes District family, for all of your prayers and support, and are blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family!
